Description

Alastair Sinclair was born in Caithness and went on to study architecture at the University of Edinburgh. His art draws inspiration from historical forms and one of his main interests in architecture is learning from vernacular building types to find area-specific design solutions. He has a particular focus on the broch form, and finds that their design can be relevant to contemporary architecture. This postcard is a fun use of the broch form to capture and reshape other iconic Scottish natural and man-made objects.
