A few of the more accessible Cairn sites around Caithness
Camster Cairns

Undoubtably the best known, and preserved example of Chambered Cairns in Caithness. The examples are just a short walk from the single track road. The walk is on a raised wooden path over peat bog.

Cairn O' Get

This is situated just off the main A99 to Wick, (near Ulbster and the famous Whaligoe Steps). The Cairn lies below the Garrywhin Hillfort which is an Iron Age hill fort, with Standing Stones atop it.

Cnoc Freiceadain

A cluster of cairns situated near Baillie Wind Farm on the Caithness North coast. The cairns are accessed with a brief walk up the hill by the parking area.

Sordale Hill

A nice view awaits anyone who visits this long cairn and Chambered Cairn site.
