Deer

The majestic red deer is an icon of the Scottish Highlands, but did you know that they are also present in significant numbers across the open moors and heathlands of Caithness? Roe deer and the introduced sika deer, both of which are much smaller in size, are also commonly found in woodlands and forested areas.
